What is Hanshin Koshien Stadium?
Established in 1924, Hanshin Koshien Stadium celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2024. In the spring and the summer, this stadium plays host to high school baseball tournaments, and Hanshin Koshien Stadium, which acts as the home stadium of the Hanshin Tigers professional baseball team, which was established in 1935, is affectionately known as the "mecca of baseball" in Japan. Numerous famous players who have gone on to the Major Leagues including Hideki Matsui and Shohei Ohtani started off here during their high school days as they competed for the opportunity to appear at the tournaments at Koshien.
